This whole thing hurts my head! Thank you for all your replies. I just want to apply for the right thing for my circumstances as it is all stressy enough without having things get refused and stuff, I don't want to waste precious energy. i just find all these rules really confusing and get different advice from all over the place...
both of these calculators tell me i can claim income support.
They just haven't been updated - entitledto is the same. The DMG is what the DWP use to make their decisions, so I would always refer to that rather than the online/ public guides.
I assume a lot of people use these calculators seeing as direct.gov is the government website to find out about state money you would think it would have up to date info!! If something changed four or five months ago surely that is plenty of time for government to up date it. crazy!
I earn over the ESA assessment rate of £65ish. does that mean i would have an underlying entitlement until i have the medical test? could i cliam income based esa in paralell with cont.based?
I can get docotrs notes etc no problem, i guess my worry is that ESA don't let me continue in my job! which would be ironic and rather stupid seeing as the whole point of ESA seems to be about being in work.
Also it seems i would be better off financially if i applied for JSA as a disabed worker for 3 months! it is crazy!
