The Answer to Question 1 is 90

    From Ludo's Blog

I can’t find ‘official’ figures to back this claim but simple maths tell me more single grain whisky is produced in Scotland’s seven grain distilleries than single malt is in the country’s 90-odd malt distilleries.

    Question 2 Answer

After the Great War, prohibition took effect in many countries, but as a family business, Grant's had the freedom and the foresight to increase production on the belief that prohibition would not last. And when it did end, we had stocks ready to meet the public demand.
