I'm a bit pushed for time at the moment so any help is appreciated.:D
In Ludo’s blog, February 15th, 2011 he suggests that more single grain whisky is produced in Scotland’s seven grain distilleries than in all the country’s malt distilleries. How many malt distilleries are there, roughly?

It was on Christmas Day in 1887 that William Grant’s own distillery produced its first golden drops of spirit.

After the Great War, prohibition took effect in many countries, but as a family business, Grant's had the freedom and the foresight to increase production on the belief that prohibition would not last. And when it did end, we had stocks ready to meet the public demand.
