Okies. When does a free credit check mean you have to pay. This is Iris to me.
Googled Free ceck and Expedian was bought up as Free. Filled in details then asked me for £14.99. Bit of a con

Are you sure?
Did you sign up for a free trial which is free for a month then £14.99 per month after that??
In this case you need pay nothing PROVIDED you cancel on time.
Personally I would get the £2 version and avoid that proviso.
If you forget or the line is busy then you might end up paying £14.99 rather than £2.0 -
Experian (Credit Expert) will take your card details when you sign up for the free trial, and if you don't cancel within a month you will be charged £14.99 a month until you do get round to cancelling.
It's very easy to cancel with them - just a quick phone call, and they confirm by email. Also, if you cancel after a couple of weeks, rather than waiting until the month is up, you still have access to the report until the end of the month (and can print it off!).0
