What can I give my dog to chew on when he has a sensitive tummy?

I have a 10 month old springer spaniel, he is booked in to be neutered on Friday so I will speak to the vet then aswell but I just thought I would ask on here too incase anyone has some fab suggestions :)

He seems to have a very sensitive tummy, he is on wainwrights dry puppy food and is ok with that, he is also ok with chicken and rice but everything else we have tried him on makes him sick or gives him diarrhea. We have tried wainwright treats and chews, rawhide chews - he absolutely loved them but they made him so poorly and now after googling I see they are a bit rubbish for dogs (should have googled before I know!)

He does chew a bit but doesn't seem that bothered with toys, he will chew on his kong for a bit but isn't that interested. Obviously I don't want to keep giving him stuff that will make him poorly but it would be nice for him if I could find something that he is okay with.

Thank you

Try stuffing, then freezing his Kong. My 2 have theirs stuffed with Naturediet (Fish and Potato - great for sensitive tums!) plus any leftover veg bits (carrots are a hit!). You can also get dried sweet potato bits from online stores, which are rawhide-ish (but don't last as long sadly!).
A stuffed Kong will keep mine quiet for quite a while - although best to leave them in the kitchen as things can get messy!!
    Hope this helps!

No I suppose he doesn't need them, he just loved the rawhide ones so much that I would love to find something else that he can have :)

Not a treat, but have you tried Gumabone toys?
They are like Nylabone but have more 'give' in them, my dogs have always prefered them to the really hard chew toys.
Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree! :D

Try a whole carrot if he wants to chew. I put them in the freezer for my BC when she was teething.

I second the carrot option - my lab/weimaraner cross has a sensitive stomach and he loves carrots either frozen or just plain raw.
I've also found that my local pet shop sells hooves (they're huge so presumably cow hooves). They come stuffed with some kind of chicken based substance but you could always scoop that out. They are perfect for gnawing on - and they last ages - without the dog having anything to swallow to upset their stomach

Fish4Dogs does a twisty chew that is made of dried fish skins. Available at lots of different pet stores.

Pets at Home do their own version.

My dog loves Nylabones too, he's one of the greediest dogs I've ever seen, but despite it not being edible, he chews away at them for ages.
