Right heres my problem is bit longwinded so please bear with me
in december last year i finished at the place i was working due to the company going bust and i continued to work 4 hours a week at a nightclub which the dole were infromed of they asked for proof of earnings so i gave them my bank statments and they were fine didnt have a problem with this i finished the 4 hour job on new years eve informed the dole of this and they said yes mr clayton this is fine since then have been regualy signing on and getting payed attending all appointments they gave me all was fine and dandy in benifit land up till this morning when i check my bank and no money in there so i got on the phone to them and they said oh we sent out a letter to your employer on the first of feb asking for wage slips so having had proof of earnings for my 4 hour job i can only assume that they are after proof of earnings from a company that no longer exists and could be on the other side of the contry for all i know they said oh will get someone to ring u back with in 3 hours as this isnt his department, 3 hours have gone by still no phone call so back on the phone i go oh sorry mr clayton will get someone to phone you in an hour and then mr postman post a letter through the door with a letter from none other than the benifits office saying we cant pay you from 14th feb no to the question can they actually do this as it isnt through my lack of cooperating its through an employer that i no longer work for and as i didnt even know they were trying to get in touch with ex employer i couldnt try and sort it for them also i am living with my girlfriend and 5 months old daughter so for 3 of us to live on £60 a week which is child tax i find this an impossibilty is there any advice please sorry for being so in deth with it but the more facts the more chance of help on this issue thanks for reading

Maybe visit the job centre, they might be able to sort it out for you?
You are claiming hb and ctb?0 -
jobcenter just said say phone up we cant do anything and yes was claiming hb and ctb but without the jsa that will also stop0

HB and CTB is dependant on income, not whether you're claming IB, JSA, IS.0

Best thing you can do is keep ringing the job centre.
Ring the la and let them know you haven't got any income apart from child tax credit. It's possible they will reinstate your claim based on just this income. We do where I work0
