hi all wonder if you can help
i am long suffering owner of a 2002 stilo, owned since 2004, now it has decided to make an odd knocking and squeaking noise when i go over speed bumps, does anyone know what this might be and if so is it expensive to fix? trying to get 1-2 more years out the car but need to know if this is anything major or just another rattle that is a ''feature'' of italian car ownership?
thanks

ARB bushes would be my first guess....... Especially if it's only on speed bumps.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Don't own a Stilo or related car, but it's probably suspension damage from all the potholes and speed bumps.
If you're lucky it'll just be bushes or something, which are a wear item. If you're unlucky something might be bent, or a ball joint need replacing (fixable, just a more annoying job)
Be sure to get a proper alignment done, not just tracking, after having your suspension repaired, otherwise you may start getting through tyres a lot faster than usual.0 -
there are a few suspension parts that stilos go through something rotten, i'll get a list and have a word with my mechanic, thanks

Knocks ! Need bushes replaced.
Squeeks ! Spray the bushes with WD40 for temp fix. Could last ages!0
