Student Bank Accounts

Hi there,
I have a question regarding my student bank account. I have a student bank account with Bank of Scotland which I originally opened in 2001, I studied for five years and after graduating worked for one year. During this time I had an interest free overdrfat of £2,600. I then paid interest on this facility for about 3/4 months untill I started a PGCE programme when bank of scotland renewed my overdraft once more. I did not complete my PGCE and began working again but still had my student account. In September 2010 I started a HND, which I will complete in June of this year. In January I was told to come into the bank to discuss my overdraft. Since septemeber my student loan of £500/month and a part-time salary have gone into this account. I spoke to various people in the bank of Scotland and the most they could do was extend my overdraft untill september. I got a letter today saying it will expire in June and from then on I will pay £1/day if I am still using it. The bank of scotland only provides a student account for a maximum of six years. I want to ask if yout think it is possible to transfer to another, such as lloyds, student or graduate account? I know the overdarft limit is less but I am hoping to pay the difference before June. Is this possible? or do banks only give student/graduate accounts to people who have never recieved them before? I also want to ask, if this is possible what is the best way to go about it? I have never had a graduate account and do not have any credit cards or other debt.
Thanks!
