Had a car accident - what can I claim for?

Had a car accident that was not my fault & caused by industrial negligence & bashed me about a bit - suffered brusing, whiplash & of course it was a bit distressing as it always is. it's all on cctv with witnesses so I'm hoping it should be fairly clear cut.

I'm a contractor, so no work = no pay. The car is a write off. I'm pyaing myself for a hire car at the mo.

I'm so angry that these idiots caused this for me and I want to be sure their idiocy doesn't cost me. The car stuff is hopefully straight forward but what about the incidentals? Could you help me? I guess I'll ask for:
  • I've had days off so no pay
  • I'm paying for a hire car.
  • Physio for whiplash.
  • Dentist
Can I ask for any of these?
  • What about all my time on phone & sorting stuff out.
  • What about when my boyf took the afternoon off to pick me up & a day to look after me & his petrol (i work a long way away)?
  • What about whiplash?
  • What about emotional distress?
Is there anything else?

Also there is legal cover with my insurance - Albany (via Diamond) - should I stick with them for incidental claim or find someone else? A no claim no fee type bod or someone else?

How do I know what's best?

:)

In view of all your losses and your personal injury you would be better getting your own specialist solicitor to handle your claim. They will know all the areas to put in claims for, as well as ensuring your mental health state and physical injuries are properly dealt with.

As previously posted, get your own specialist solicitor!

They are specialist solicitors - the question is are they any good? And what kind of things should I be looking to claim? Sure I guess they will tell me but I like to do a bit of homework & it's better to be forearmed with information in my opinion.
