Where do I stand?

Hi everyone,
One of the diamonds has fallen out of my engagement ring. The ring was bought almost 3 years ago from Leslie Davis. It has been replaced once already, three days after my boyfriend proposed, as it lost a large diamond off the main cluster. This time it is a tiny diamond from the band itself that has fallen out and I've no idea where (and not much chance of finding it).
I've rang LD and been told to take it in and they'll send it to their repairs department for assessment. If they deem it to be a manufacturing fault, they'll fix it, or they may say it's wear and tear and quote me for fixing it.
I don't do any sort of manual labour and wear acrylic nails a lot, so am generally careful with my hands anyway, but regardless, surely I should be able to expect more than 3 years use? And the fact that it's been replaced once following a similar issue, should tell them something's not right with the manufacture of the ring in the first place?
What are my rights please?
Thanks in advance xx

Its a funny one with rings and stones to be honest.. Without knowing it you may have knocked it a few times against a wall and such like which may have loosened it without you knowing it..
Im not sure about where you would stand if they deem it not to be a manufacturing fault but as its happened once before then maybe they will be more generous.one of the famous 5

I had to have my engagement ring sized and I got a written guarantee from the jeweller to ensure the stone was there for life, if it falls out they will replace it. (I was worried that heating it to re size it would make the stone lose) Touch wood, its ok. what did they say the first time ?'Tis better to have loved and lost than to live with the psycho the rest of your life :rotfl::T:rotfl::eek:0
