ppi questionaire

Before i send off my ppi questionaire to egg i wrote in the section about my complaint this
I feel that the salesperson did not inform me correctly about the terms of the insurance. I was not correctly informed that the insurance would be added onto the loan and then interest paid on the full amount for the whole term of the loan.

Does that sound ok dont want to fall at first hurdle due to the fact i cant put things into words
Thanks

Hopefully you have other reasons for complaint as that isnt actually a compliance requirement. Sure you can list it but it is not a wrong doing by the agent.

Also, are you sure interest was added. Not all of them do add it for interest purposes. Some do and that can be good reason to refund the interest but not actually the PPI itself.

Thanks, i am still a bit unsure i know i was probably mis sold ppi but cant think of why so am chancing my arm as it costs nothing so should i go with this from the template

You have been fined by the FSA for failing to treat your customers fairly when selling Payment Protection Insurance and I do not believe that my policy was sold in my best interests.

Would this at least get the ball rolling or is it a bit vague

    Thanks

I would have a good read of the Financial Ombudsman's PPI online resource which will give you a fair idea as to what constitutes mis-selling:

    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/technical_notes/ppi.html

It may be, for example, that you weren't given a summary of the policy before the conclusion of the sale.

You could make a Subject Access Request asking for all the information they hold on you. It may cost £10 so speak to them first.

So you actualy don't know if it was miss-sold, you just think that because you have it (if in fact you actually do), you should try and get the money back.
We've spent decades teaching people about their rights, but nothing about their responsibilities.

Hi there, Dont "chance your arm",unless you have valid reasons for mis sell. You have to give as much info you can as to why you were mis sold.

Hi there, the sar will not tell you if you were mis sold. Look here for valid reasons for mis sell

If any or all apply to you, then put a claim in.

Have recieved a letter this morning from Egg, in it they stated that they were sorry but have yet to reach a decision within the eight weeks and they are still investigating my complaint. It also stated that i could complain to the ombudsman but hope they can rely on my support to enable them to reach a decision ( I found that bit very funny). :rotfl:

I have decided that i will write a letter explaining that i am a little dismayed that they have been unable to reach a decision but i am willing to give them another 14 days to make a decision before referring the matter to the ombudsman. What does anybody think and has anyone else recieved this type of letter.
