CTC and WTC Calculations

Could someone please advice on the following. I currently get WTC, which were granted through applying over the phone.

However, last week I noticed a benefit checked on the Directgov website. I put in the same information that I gave to the Tax Credit helpline people, but it came back with different amounts. It also said I was entitled to CTC.

The only difference I can see is that the directgov website asked if I contribute to a pension ( which I do ), whereas the Tax Credit people didnt.

Has anyone used this and should I query the amounts?

Pension contributions reduce income assessed for tax credits so let them know.
