Mobitix ending 4 March

I've just had an email from Virgin trains that says..

"As someone who’s used Mobitix before, we wanted to let you know that from 4 March the product will no longer be available. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause."

Anyone know why this is? Bit of a shame, have found it very useful.

I think they are just going to use virgin farefinder from now on as the franchise is up soon and they may not win it back.. IMO

I think you right, Virgin won't win the franchise and that's why their withdrawing thing like Mobitix and have raised the lower price tier of advance singles for most routes over the last timetable review.

Shame really as Virgin IMHO wasn't the worst Train Company out there and introduced us to some nice modern trains like the Pendolino and the Voyager, shame they smelled so bad, but that's a story for another thread.
