Help. Car stolen insurance terrible

Hi, if anyone could help with some positive advice i would appreciate it. I feel drained at the moment.

My car was stolen on the 5th feb, they broke in the house stole the keys and made off with the car and my phone. I am fully comp and was almost at my 5 years no claims mark again.
The insurance say i cant have a courtesy car as mine was stolen. luckily i had a bolt on with my insurance that entitled me to 1 but it was only for 2 weeks. The car was stolen on the friday and i didnt get my courtesy car until the following wednesday. I only got this because i questioned my broker about the extra i had taken out. My car was recovered with minimal damage on feb 14th and was taken to a holding recovery place where it was released by the police on the 18th feb after they had taken prints. Its been sat there ever since and my courtesy car went back on the 16 so i have had no transport now since then..... The insurance apparently sent an e-mail monday to a local repair garage to take my car but its still in the holding place. Im so annoyed with how lazy my insurance is. Is this how people are treated when they have there car stolen and is there anything i can do. I want to complain but im not sure what this will achieve, is it worth it.

If anyone could advise me i would be greatful. Thanks. :money:

You have been too patient with them!

Escalate this to a manager in your insurer's claims dept, and keep at them till you get a result.

Other than making a complaint to your insurer in writing there isn't much that you an do.

Why not phone they everyday for an update? If you become irritating enough they may get off their arris and into action just to get rid of you.

I think my policy excludes a hire car if its stolen. But i get a car if mine needs a repair after an accident.
Reapir after being stolen? Have to check that.

What needs repairing on your car? Could you get it back then get the repairs done later?
