Thanks for this post, just decided to order one. For 6gb £40 is not bad @ all and my plan is to keep it in my car. I can't use my main player as the in car system will not accept the file format so I want to use the record from hifi option on this player. The battery wont be a prob as I will leave it plugged into the usb port so when the engine is on it will be charging and as I operate it via the wheel the menu shouldn’t be a problem. Now to see if it will work.

What is your problem about refurbs that you have to tell us twice in the same thread that you won't buy it?

These things are simply customer returns within the cooling off period, or have something about them which doesn't make an iota of difference to their usability but which means that they can't be sold as new. They work just as well as the "new" items and if they don't, you can get them replaced.

This is a moneysaving site, and being savvy about buying things like "refurbs" is a very sensible way of saving money.
