Yorkshire Bank Private Banking

Hi all,

To cut a long story short I used to bank with Yorkshire bank and for a variety of reasons ended up moving to a Premier account with Barclays. After a couple of months I went into Yorkshire Bank to close my old account and ended up having a long chat with the branch manager. The upshot of this is that he's offered me Private Banking with them and I have an appointment to see one of their 'Private Partners' later this week about transferring back.

The one thing that annoyed me about Yorkshire Bank was their crappy Maestro cards which were useless abroad, although I see that they've got debit Mastercards now. At the risk of sounding like a debit card colour snob I rather like the black Barclays Premier card I have now, does anyone know if Yorkshire have a similar card for Private Banking?

Also if anyone has any experience of Private Banking with Yorkshire Bank please holler.

I do believe that Yorkshire bank did a range of Private cards with designs from local Yorkshire Holmfirth artist Ashley Jackson http://www.ashley-jackson.co.uk/icon-card.php

Do you know what there eligibility is for Private banking?

Thanks for the reply. Yep I am aware of the elegibilty criteria and we're not far off (100k joint income) but the branch manager has offered to wave it through regardless. We'll see, huh?
