Amazon Issue

Options
Sorry if this is in the wrong section have not posted anything like this before.

At the beginning of Dec I ordered a ps3 game for my husband from amazon and it never turned up. I emailed them before Christmas to advise and they said to wait until a specific date and if it had still not arrived to email them back for a refund or a replacement to be sent.
I didn't receive it so emailed for a refund which I had back as I had used gift vouchers to pay but today I have had the below email.

The items above were refunded as you informed us they had not been received when expected.

We believe that you have now received the delivery and we request that you confirm your intention.

Please reply to this e-mail with one of the following options:

1 I have received the delivery and would like to keep the items. Please charge my payment card for these items.
2 I don’t want to keep the items and will return them to Amazon (we will send you separate instructions for this following your reply).
3 I have already returned the items to Amazon.
4 I have not received the delivery.

Please simply copy and paste the option which is most appropriate to you when replying.

"We ask that you respond to this e-mail by March 16th. If we do not hear from you in this time, we will charge your payment card for the items in your original delivery."

We may share your response with Royal Mail. Now if I had the item I would have done this as per the original email I had when they refunded however I have not, I had opted for free supersaver delivery so have no way of tracing if anyone else has had this game or not so how do I prove to Amazon that I have not had the delivery and has anyone else had this with items not received over the xmas period?

Thanks in advance

I had a similar situation, though not over Xmas, and all I did was use the quote that I had never received the item, and that was that, end of issue, no further correspondence. Nobody ever asked for any proof - just as well as none was available. Either someone is enjoying my item or else it was never sent out, who knows.

Do you know it was definitely sent by Royal Mail anyway ? In my experience the free delivery is usually by someone like HDN (which is why I have now stopped ordering from Amazon as HDN is diabolical!)

Thanks for your reply I cannot be sure it was Royal Mail but have just checked my order and it was placed on 8th dec and supposedly dispatched on the 9th dec via royal mail. Just dont want to get stung for something I haven't had.

True, I just thought I would have to prove it as they are saying it has been delivered and of course there is no way I could do that

I don't think you can use them to cover postage if they don't fall under the free supersaver category as even in the uk if free supersaver isn't available you have to pay. HTH

I have always called Amazon customer services on 08004961081 instead of replying back to emails. I can say hand on heart, their customer services is superb, they always go out of their way to solve things asap & always give me vouchers if they messed up! :)

It looks like Amazon are going to try and claim off Royal Mail for lost parcels perhaps due to an unusual increase during the bad weather.

I had the same email yesterday.
I had ordered Lost 6 on December 8th. Item hadn't arrived so I phoned customer service and was told I could either have a refund or they would send another copy out. I opted for a refund as I wanted this for a Christmas present and I didn't think that I would get it in time.
I had loads of stuff this year from Amazon and several items did come via postman, no signature required just dropped through letterbox.
I have replied that I haven't received item but don't know how I can prove that I haven't had it should it go that far.
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.
