Got results back from my price check.

Apparently Asda dont sell:

Beef Mince
Fosters Lager
Diet Coke
Sesame Seed Burger Buns
Semi Skimmed Milk
Apple Sauce
Free Range Eggs
Turkey Breast Fillets
Wholemeal Sliced Bread

don't think I'll ever be buying from Asda if thats the case....

Tesco's system does not allow you to claim on the basis they advertise. Their Terms clearly says that multi-buy offers are included. But I've just looked up 1.5l Oasis bottles (that I have been trying to buy in volume) and the Tesco Price Check site wrongly says that Asda's price is £1.78, even though Asda's Online and Store price has a 2-for-£2 offer on (and offer that Tesco itself was running until recently, but have now stopped).

I feel this is misrepresentation, as I was very nearly tempted to buy in store (I want several dozen bottles) on the promise of this offer, but had I done so their site would have refused me the refund that their terms say I should get. That's fraud in my book. And it's very annoying that the local store did not have the discretion to sort out a problem that their failure presented me with. Very bad marks for Tesco's service. I've contacted their customer service department online, so it will be interesting to see if I get more than another fob-off.

Do you have to take the email to Tesco store and flash it to customer services ?

According to the articles I have read Tesco are now offering double your money back if your items are cheaper as Asda but now limit this to £20 as canny people were making money.

Obviously you can only make £20 but for us hard up Northerners that is still alot of money so lets start listing the products you have found cheaper that do scan on the system.

Also could do with a dummies guide on how it works. Do you have to shop at Tesco buy the same from Asda then show the reciept?

Have a look around the site, they are already listed somewhere. Us extra-hard-up Southerners need the list as we already pay extortionate prices down here compared to the north anyway :rotfl:

Does this price comparison thing apply to tesco stores in towns where a Asda isnt present ier 40+ miles away. Asda do deliver in my area though
