Vet prescriptions... what a rip off!!!

We got told off by our vet for not doing frontline regular enough so we started doing 1 a month without fail, it was around that time we realised how much cheaper online was, we bought 12 months worth online no problem, last year we went to buy another years worth and ended up getting 2 years to save on postage. It was then that we found every site we visited needed a vets prescription (it still worked out cheaper paying the vet for the prescription and ordering online).
It would seem at some point in the last 2 years that the vets realised they were losing out and couldn't compete so they managed to get some sort of legislation put in place so a prescription was needed. Everyones a winner, online stores still sell, vets make easy money on the prescriptions and we still save money on the rip off prices the vets always charged us.
On a side note can someone please explain why our cat not only hates frontline application so much but the fact that she can sense I have the little green applicator hidden in a pocket from 10 yards away!!!!!!!:D0 -

I am so lucky, my brother lives in spain, over there you can buy most "prescription" drugs over the counter at the chemist, I need regular meds for one of my pets,my brother sends it to me, the bottle is 100% bigger than the vets and with postage it still only costs me 2thirds the vets price."Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, which is why we call it the present.”0
