Ford Focus rear wiper

Hi the rear wiper comes on every 20 seconds and i cannot stop this , the front wiper was used yesterday but not on now but this rear one has a mind of its own.

I think it may be a faulty contact but not sure, can anyone advise me where to look please
thanks

You might think I'm being daft, but you haven't 'caught' the intermittent switch for the rear wiper on the stalk when you switched on the front wiper?

And if its like my Mondeo, it works completely opposite to the way you think. You need to push it forward to turn it off - the normal position you think it'd be is intermittent rear wash wipe.

push the wiper stalk away from the steering wheel.

Does this happen only in reverse?
