in Credit cards
Hi
I am currently having issues with triton credit services.
I have recently been paying them £65 per month due to a credit card balance of £1200 that was passed over from RBS.
In december 2010 they said they were reviewing the account and asked me to send in details of my income/expenditure which i did in early jan and again in early feb, i have today received from Triton a financial statement form to fill in & return.
Since december i have not made any payments due to No agreement being in place.
I can not afford an increase in payments as i have several credit cards with balances i am paying each month ( Total payment £700 per month across 5 cards)
If i completed the financial statement form it would show about £65 left over ( after bills, mortgage, fuel costs ect ect)
Is it best to complete the form and send back, or not? They also requested details of my income, should i included this and is this a legal requirement?
I am tempted to continue making monthly payments of £65, in hindsight i should have probably done this for the previous 2 months.
Any advice would be fantastic.
Thanks
Rob

Bad move to have stopped the payments.
You should have carried on with the repayments and let them do their worst to you (in effect there is nothing they can do).
If they persist ask for help from CAB.0 -
Hi, I didnt ''Stop'' the payments, they requested income details for a 3 month review as my agreement had come to an end, which i posted & then posted again (as they didnt receive the 1st time) i offered to continue paying at £65 per month but they said it would need to be reviewed 1st.0

Eithe way you didn't pay so are more in debt now with them than you needed to be.

The question you need to ask yourself is: Do you want them to accept a reduced payment or not ? If you don't care one way or another then don't complete anything and let them do their worst - possibly a very bad option for you.
Option 2 - work with them, cooperate and fill the form in together with any income details they ask for. Possibly the best option for you.
Of course you don't have to do option 2 but then don't expect them to be lenient on you in any way.0 -
Hi
Im not after a reduced payment, i'm happy to pay what i have been paying previously to them but they seem to be getting arsey about this current account review.
The amount i have been paying is more than double what i paid per month with the original credit card and i have a debt of £11000 with Halifax and currently pay back £100 per month so i think thats more than fair, why they didnt just renew the account at the amount i was paying i dont know but thats all they are getting out of me which i think is more than fair imo.
I'll fill in the forms & post them back & see what happens

Where can I get some of the stuff you've been smoking? :rotfl:
Triton have never been known to be lenient at any time in the past, so it seems unlikely they might be now.0
