in Credit cards
Hi I am a brand new user here, although a Martin Lewis fan for a long time, I am wondering if there is anyone who can give me some advice regarding our situation? We bought a hot tub from a hot tub sales outlet last year, the cost was £4,445 We paid the non refundable deposit of £500.00 on our Post office credit card then remainder of the ballance as a cash transfer into the companys bank account. The tub should have had a 2 year manufacturers warranty......great we thought. Then my hot tub has packed in 3 times in 9 months and now all the pipework is leaking, the outlet has been wound up and the manufacturer is in CHINA ! so our question is, as we paid the deposit on credit card, does that protect our purchase through the credit card company ? I also meant to say, not long after we paid the deposit, we cleared the balance and shut down the credit card account ? and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Darren
