Please recommend a good basic graphic card, as onboard graphics screwed.

I have been having issues with my basic, but servicable 2 year old PB imedia 2326. I've replaced the PSu with a 650w one, and the mobo battery, checked and cleaned the drives/fans/mobo, but still had problems booting up, unless the room temp is very warm.

Today, my screen started flickering rapidly after boot, so guess it must be the onboard graphics. I've turned the screen resolution right down which has eradicated most of the flicker, and feel its time for a dedicated graphics card. I'm hoping this will sort out the boot-up issues/flickering, but do not want to spend more than £30-£50, as i've just spent £30 on this psu.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. :)

A Radeon HD 4350 will set you back £29.79, won't be much use for gaming (although better than your current integrated graphics) but will be smooth for general use and video playback.

I've played The Sims 3 with what I've got now, so anything would be an improvement. Thanks!

Good choice, worth spending the extra £10 for a significantly more powerful card :)

I'm grateful for your suggestion, as didn't a clue what brand/type to go for. It helped with my final choice. I had an ancient Nvidia TNT2 in my last machine. Was over 10 years old though. :D
