the loan centre
hi, i foolishly looked the loan centre.
i have not token out a loan or used any of their services
behold A MONTH after they take £67.70 from my account
ive mailed them telling them i want a refund. but i get a reply saying it anit possible as in the t&c it states 14 day refund when you send off you app.
i have passed the 14 day period but that is not fair as the took payment from me on the 26th of feb only a few days ago.
i just realised and there t&c dont even give me a chance to claim back my money
anyone that could help would be much appriciated
thanks

I had this problem with them, although i didn't even use the site and they admitted this and that they have none of my details even though they debited my account LOL which has successfully been handled as a fruad claim.
It does state in their T&C's that they will take a one off membership fee from you.
From what i have read online after my fiasco was that if you keep pushing them ( little threat with the financial ombudsman always helps) they will email you a form which you print off and fill out and post to them.0 -
When you supplied your bank details you signed up for them to charge a fee to look for a loan on your behalf (its in the small print and it happens to lots of people who use loan broker websites).
You have to write to request a refund of the fee (apart from £5 they are allowed to keep) - there is advice on how to request the rest on this thread somewhere Loan CentreA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

I cant post links i don't think but that is the cancellation and refund form to be sent to-
Customer Service Department, The Loan Centre, 46 Alexandra Street, Southend On Sea, Essex, SS1 1BJ.
on the form you need to put your ticket number which is at the top of the email they send you. HTH0 -
oh also, you will get nowhere by email.0

I would just like to point out that I too have been taken in by this company, I am areasonably intelligent woman in an unfortunate situation. In a moment of desparation I registered with this company and they took £74.95 from my account. Yes I put in my card details BUT it was my understanding that the money wouldnt be taken until I was found a suitable loan, which they didnt do!!! I am still attempting to get my money back and have now contacted Consumer Advice.
Please try and understand that these people prey on people who are desparate and therefore perhaps rush through applications resulting in missing the small print. I did check the FAQ but nothing is mentioned in there. In my opion they are nothing but crooks.0
