  • I recently bought a 3 year accidental notebook warranty for my Acer and there is an excess of £100 for replacement screens, so it must be quite expensive!

I think you can claim on your house insurance for broken screen. I just looked on ebay ,they have Acer laptop screens but not your model. the other Acer models were about £150 !

If the laptop is still under warrenty you could be cheeky and try for a free replacement. My friend stood on her laptop (long story) and broke the screen. However, it wasn't visably cracked so she managed to get it repaired FoC
  • Thanks everyone I going to see if it's covered on my insurance
  • My sony screen bust itself 3 weeks after buying it - glad it was in warranty - they priced it at something like 250£ !!
