A year ago i was driving home from work when some1 drove into side of me! we took details ect and when i got home i rung my insurance to report.
anyway to cut a long story short third party(didnt report)and then months of chasing dicied to lie and change story ect.

this meant that i had a car with crashed side,my excess was £350.
so Christmas time after waiting 6months and getting knowere i paid my excess!

anyway iam now down £350 and also lost my no-claims ow and also currently paying £100pm for insurance!! for an accident which wasn't my fault
a year on(this week) i recieved a letter from my insurance saying they have recoverd all cost from third party and i now have my no clims back!

i want to no if i can claim my excess back?
and also what is the situation with my current insurance as now i have my no-claims + my insurance would be lower!
hope this makes sence as iv tried to cut down so you dont get bored reading!

Yep, you should get your NCB back and a refund to the extra premium you have paid (both due to NCB loss and by having a fault claim on your record)

You should also get your excess back although insurance company might not reclaim it for you so you'll have to contact the TP insurance company

You need to write to the third party's insurer to get this (as well as any other uninsured losses you incurred over the incident)

Ask your insurer. (If you had their legal cover for uninsured loss recovery etc you can ask them to sort this out for you)
