    Will do :)

Yeah that sounds good...I will know not to spend else I'll get told off :P LOL!
Yeah that definitely will make it better to know that I will have people to report to and tell them my progress. I'm going for the hard hitting aproach, literally trying to not spend anything apart my loan and phone bill and money to the fiance! I definitely like the idea of giving my card to someone else as this will definately help me :) I also need to learn that I cant walk around Asda and pick up some ice cream or something for myself and when my fiance gives me 'the look' (as if he doesnt want to pay for it out of the normal weekly shopping money, I just turn round and say "It's okay 'I'm paying for it".......as I do that a lot and it soon mounts up!

Hi Jem - how about a clear out - you might find enough for a car boot sale or perhaps you can sell a few things on ebay. We are currently clearing out electronic things and while they aren't worth a lot - maybe 3-4 pounds each in CEX (Computer Exchange - they buy them off you) it's better than them sitting around collecting dust and it all adds up.

How do you feel about writing? If you don't mind writing reviews you can earn quite a bit on dooyoo.co.uk.

    Hi dancingfairy!

I have already had a massive clear out and literally have nothing left apart from a few pairs of shoes that I am trying to get rid of, even if its just for a few quid, and a couple of bags.

Thats a good idea about the CEX thing, when I get a chance to go down to Cornwall and go to my mums house, I will get some of my old DVDs and see if I can exchange some of those:)

Hi jennikitten - I have never thought about writing reviews but its something I would have no problem in doing. I might look into that!

    Thank you!:o

    Hi guys!
So, a little update for you as I said I would write on here and keep you updated :) .....I got paid yesterday and I gave my other half £100 a week like I always do and I was left with £120 at the end so thats £120 paid off of my overdraft. Went shopping last night and go loads of things to take to work with me so hopefully I shouldnt need to pay for lunches. I just need that willpower to not buy snacks and cakes etc etc! My overdraft is now -£625 (which is actually £125 deducted...must have had a fiver left over from last month haha!) :rotfl:

I am really going to try and not spend anything this weekend (weekends are the hardest times as obviously I can go to town etc and get tempted!) My other half is busy all day today so I won't be going into town today and probably wont be tomorrow so thats the temptation side of things sorted! I just really need to dye my hair:(...but I've got to a stage now where I really dont want to spend anything! I want to have lots of willpower!

The only thing thats bugging me a bit is that my cat has got to have a operation which will cost £175:(. Me and my OH have aggreed that he will pay it and then I will pay him back half of it when I can. Also, I have to start paying him back some of the money that I owe him else his loan will trickle away and that is whats paying for us to live in our house so he needs all the extra money he can get.

Do you think I should start looking for a better paid job? Or maybe try and speak to my boss about going permenant? How would I even do that?

Any advice is much appreciated:) Thaaaaanks!

I guess talk to your Boss and say that you are obviously enjoying your job...but you are wondering what the situation is as you would like to stay but obviously you really want a permanent job! Maybe take along portfolio/CV/things you have done to show how well you have been doing.

    Hi elle:)

That does sound like a good idea...my boss is really nice but I don't know if they are more the kind of company that would rather keep hiring temp staff like me or just pay the finder fee to Reed as take me on as permenant staff. (I have heard that if they employ someone who has been found through Reed, they have to pay a final 'finders' fee?)

I know that I am safe until June but I dont know what will happen at the end of June:( Will they get rid of me and just find someone else to take over my job?.....that seems a bit pointless to me when they know that I am doing a good job.

I worked there last August for a couple of months and I started working there again at the end of January so they have worked with me for a while so know what I am like to work with etc etc....

    Hi all!:)

So here goes with another update!

So, I know I said I wasnt going to go shopping last weekend..but I did. Me and my OH went to Swindon town centre just to look around the shops & I all I planned on buying was a hair dye. I brought my hair dye and was happy and then I realised I had a £25 voucher for Debenhams in my purse from Xmas that I still hadn't used so I thought I could treat myself to some nice new make up....

There was no make up that I wanted but I spotted some nice boots in the shoe section. They were having a promotion/price reduction event thing and I found these boots that I loved. They were £30 reduced from £80!!! And even better, I had the £25 voucher so I only had to pay £5 for a brand new pair of boots!!! I was extatic! LOL!:D:D:D:D

Anyway, back to the overdraft situation! I am currently down to -£701. So I have saved £49 so far which is pretty good considered I did treat myself to some hair dye (£3.49) and the boots (£5).
I'm getting paid £209 this week (tomorrow) so I will give £100 to my OH as usual and then I will have £109 to use for the overdraft if I don't spend ANYTHING next week.

The only problem is that my phone bill is due to come out soon which will be about £45/£50 but after that, I havent got anything else coming out of my account until the 1st April which is £103.49 for my loan. I am going to try and give my OH a bit extra at some point as he has just paid £175 for our cats operation. And I need to start paying him back the money that I owe him.

I have applied for a couple of perm jobs in the area but had emails back yesterday, one saying I was unsuccessful and the other saying I was unsuccessful but she wanted to talk to me about other oppertunities but she was based in Bath & I can't commute to Bath everyday as I can't afford it:(

Sorry for the long post, I thought I'd update everyon:)
Would be great if people could reply, I love talking to you all!

    Thanks! x:p

    Hey Jem,

Dont worry..I enjoyed reading all your posts.

I think people do enjoy, but they just dont always post a reply back.

The most important thing is to keep plugging away and debt and posting the good points. Its very easy to get dragged onto the many really down posts...so for me it good to see your progress!!

    Dont stop...:D:cool::beer:
