in Credit cards
Hey guys -
I'm trying to make myself "prime" again and have Vanquis, Cap 1 and Barclaycard initial.
Both Vanquis and Cap 1 have lovely green ticks and blobs on the 3 CRA reports. Barclaycard had one late payment in March 2009 (I missed the date somehow
)
Who should I try next?
I have 2 old settled defaults which will fall off my report in April & May respectively (after 6 long years!!) and none of the above cards are carrying a balance - so I'd like to try my hand at a proper card.
Any advice?

How about your bank?"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

I bank with Barclays so having the initial rules me out.
Although someone did suggest the other day about the Barclays "Green" one, can't quite remember what it's called now.0 -
I'd wait until your defaults drop from your Credit file before applying for an new card.
Then when they do eventually 'fall off', check your rating with Experian or Equifax and apply to a card that best represents your current standing.
Which hopefully in a few months should be fairly strong.0 -
Hopefully you're also on the electoral roll at your current address - this can help you get a good credit score.

Yes I am.
Funny you should mention this James, as I emailed Experian today regarding the entries on my file re the Electoral Roll. The first entry shows my current address which is fine, Entry 2 & 3 show the street names for the addresses I lived at last but not the actual address. Is this correct?
