Is this classed as a claim?

A couple of years ago our elderly neighbour came round saying that she had mould on her walls where our chimney breast is (we do not share a chimney) and that her son in law (a builder) said that we are responsible for it as it looked like some brick in our chimney were blown. We phoned the insurance and asked for their advice, they said the best thing would be to send a surveyor to have a look, which they did.
to cut a long story short after inspecting our house and the neighbours he concluded that the neighbour was responsible as her roof hadnt been changed since the house was built (its 200 years old!!!) and that his report would state that it was her problem and not ours.
Do I have to declare this as a claim when getting new house insurance?

You are usually asked if you have made any claims in the last 3 years, if more than that no need to declare.
If under, you would as this would have been logged by your ins company.0
