Enter our free competition for the chance to win a copy of theArctic with Bruce Parry DVD . Just answer this simple question:
Q: Which of these countries isn’t in the Arctic Circle?
a: Sweden
b: Greenland
c: Alaska
Submit your entries to comps@buzzinmedia.co.uk with the subject line: ‘Arctic’ (other subject lines will not be entered) with your full name, address & contact number.
I'm confused about the answer because, looking at the map, all of these countries appear to be at least partly in the Arctic Circle.Or maybe I'm not seeing straight today??

I would say it was Sweden although according to this map here http://www.athropolis.com/map2.htm They all are at least in part in the Arctic Circle but Sweden the least so.
So I guess you decide, and Lillias, don't worry, your eyes are seeing straight!
Woops, Sorry Lynsey78 just posted at same time, Alaska is the US so still not clear?
is there anything in T&C about more than one entry to send an email for both?0 -
The land on the Arctic Circle is divided among eight countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, the United States (i.e. Alaska), Canada, Denmark (i.e. Greenland), and Iceland (where it passes through the small offshore island of Gr!msey).
This is here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arctic_Circle says they are all in the Arctic Circle!0 -
I've emailed them to ask for clarification, just in case it's a mistake rather than a trick question.0

Taken from the text about the DVD
Over the course of one bright Arctic summer, Bruce and the Bafta-winning production team travel nearly 11,000 miles through Greenland, Canada, Alaska, Russia and Northern Europe. The effects of global warming are magnified here – sea ice is melting, new land is appearing and new boundaries are being drawn.
No mention of Sweden....0 -
Got a reply!
"Thank you for pointing this out. It is indeed an error on our team’s part. The answers would supposed to include Switzerland and not Sweden."
And the question has been changed
