quote for new kitchen

Hi People,
we just thought of refurbishing our kitchen (3mx1.8m).
Basically what we went is, remove all the old ones out, (not too many cabinets though), and put the new units/worktops in. new sink and a tap,laminate the floor.
Looking for a very basic/economy kitchen.
I got a quote yesterday and it is for £1550 (doesnt include any applicances) and he can do it in 2 days.
The guy quoted £750 for basic range cupboards/worktops.£350 for his labour charges, £150 for laminate, £120 for few tiles on the wall, £50 for built-in oven installation gas, £50 for sink and a tap and few bits and bobs !!
I am thinking of getting the units myself either from Wickes / B&Q. the website says full take home kitchen for about £450.
what do people think??

£1550 sounds very cheap for a kitchen. I would let the fitter pick up the cheap kitchen in case you pick something up incorrectly and he may want more money to come back at a later date (and rightly so). If his kitchen is missing something he will be obliged to come back and charge no extra as its his responsibility.

One thought, £50 for sink and taps and bits and bobs...is this sink made of cardboard!?!?!?!?!

It must be a very small kitchen because £350 to fit a kitchen is cheap
