We only share your details with third parties with your permission, and certainly not when you simply check your Experian credit report. If, however, you use our Lower My Bills price-comparison service then your details may be passed on with your agreement.

    Really...then how come over the past two day's I've been plagued with calls from;

    Strawberry loans..
    LD Finance..
    Debt Matters...
as well as silent calls,to my mobile & now texts & calls to my house phone!!
The last one was a Text message then followed up by a silent call from Aspire loans...
On googleing the number..look what popped up!
I think I keep getting these calls because I signed up with Experian and was looking at loans. None came up so they passed my details onto this company who now keep calling me.

9 missed calls between 5-7pm yesterday and have had 5 so far this morning.

When I answer they hang up so I called them back last night and told them to stop calling me.

Obviously not listening - Thanks Experian for putting a pest sales company on my back - I'm really happy I paid £14.99 for that.
I did the Experian thing the other week, over the past couple of days both my landline & mobile number has been pestered with text's & call's from these lot as well as others!
    The last one was silent.

As the Experian guy says, they are not "sharks", they are offering you a valuable service.

    Spike,

You need to to take a note of the company and then kindly ask for them to remove your number preferbly record the call if you can, then as and when they phone you again then trace the company via google and email, post or fax a letter stating the following.

You have failed to comply wish my wish for complete removal from your data base.

I now serve you a seven day notice to correct this issue and remiburse my cost of phone calls and time spent dealing with the matter.

Failire to comply will result in legal action being taken against you under Section 13 of the Data Protection Act 1998 for breach of section of 10 & 11 and furthermore I shall report you to the TPS whom inturn can also fine you a substantial amount.

I have had to do this to approx 5 or so company's that kept calling me.

Outcomes as follows, full appologies and cheques received ranging from £20.00 to £75.00, the £75.00 was from one company who called me approx 15-20 times in 1 week.

    Hi.
I tried searching for Strawbs on here but eventually found the link via google :p

Like Spike7451, I recently applied for a Van kiss card (and a Cap One already declined) and am receiving numerous spam mails as well as "several" calls and texts from never-heard-of-before loan companies :(

I also heard over the phone from one of these calls that Sun Kissed had turned me down although I haven't had that from them. Only from Cap One ...

The call from Strawberry offered £1,000 @ £97 / month which I actually find quite reasonable. However, their site http://www.wearestrawberry.com/ gives no indication - no APRs mentioned anywhere - so I would be very nervous about using them despite being tempted ...

Did you eventually succeed with Vanquis, Spike??

    You're right to be nervous.

From the T&C's in your link, it appears they are just like the other broker scammers
    Refund Policy
Under Section 155 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 you "the customer" is entitled to a refund (less £5) of a fee paid to We Are Strawberry Ltd if for any reason you do not enter into the relevant loan agreement within 6 months of our introduction.

Yes, I am! But curious too :o Having said that, it's easy to entice with a (relatively) low payment before the real deal is done and you find yourself paying £400 interest instead of the almost £200 quoted on the phone :o

No,Well I got a letter saying they were investigating my complaint & I had to follow the T&C's of my credit card, bit hard as I don't have one, then I recieved a refusal letter.
Even now I'm still getting text's & calls...
I've 5 complaints now into the TPS..
