Hi davidandrewlawrence,
I have just had a word with our business department, as this is not my area of expertise at all.
They have suggested contacting them to discuss the tariff or contract your on/tariff's you can change to.
If your on a rolling contract these are more expensive.
I also agree that the DPA needs to be sorted of who can and can't discuss this account, this is something that should be put straight when you contact E.ON.
Helena“Official Company Representative
I am an official company representative of E.ON. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
Well as you are the director of the management company, then surely it is you who the supplier should be speaking with?
You can, of course also give permission for the supplier to speak with your agent, but without that they should only be discussing it with your company.
I'd remind thee supplier of what their real obligations are under the DPA which they want to hide behind
No, none of the directors are responsible for the account. The named person on the account is an employee of the managing agents.
As it turns out, we were not on a contract. They have switched us onto the cheapest now. And when I say cheapest, I mean 60% cheaper. It's clearly their error.0 -

Thank you Helena.
You're right, we were not on the best tariff. In fact it was some 60% more expensive. There was no contracted tariff agreed when the supplier was chosen. Managing agents fault. It's cost the company an extra £1800 over just 2 and a half years.
Needless to say we are requesting a meeting with their boss as to why they didn't do their job properly.0
