How do i find out about old credit cards?

My wife and i have had many accounts over the years and on cancelling a credit card the other day i asked my wife if she had cancelled all her previous old credit cards over the years! she looked blankly at me!

she cant remember how many cards she has had in the past or who with

any way to find out?

    She could check her credit reports. They'll show all accounts which are still open or have closed within the past six years. You'll need to check with all three credit reference agencies, as they don't all hold the same information.
