The packed programme includes wonderfully romantic pieces that we all associate with a wedding, such as Mendelssohn’s 'Wedding March' and Wagner’s 'Bridal March', in addition to celebratory music such as Clarke’s 'Trumpet Voluntary' and Widor’s 'Toccata' and favourites like ‘Land of Hope and Glory’, ‘Jerusalem’ and ‘Rule, Britannia!’ - all of which will be perfectly fitting for this happy national occasion!
Music to Celebrate a Royal Wedding takes place at 2 venues on Sunday 17th April:
Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, with a cast including Manchester Concert Orchestra, Manchester Chorale and guest presenter Ian Lavender. – 3.00pm.
Royal Albert Hall, London, with a cast including Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and the Royal Choral Society – 7.30pm
In our fantastic competition we have 2 pairs of tickets to win to each concert. To win a pair of tickets to the performance of your choice just tell us on what date the Royal Wedding will take place -and don’t forget to let us know which venue you would like to visit.
