Renault Voluntary Termination Charges

Hi,

I have arranged for a collection/inspection of my car for this week.

However, I have some scratches on the bumper and driver door of the car. Has anyone had to pay the charges? Or know roughly how expensive they are?

I'm worried that they won't take the car away until the scratches/scrapes have been fixed which will cost me an extra £135!!

Does anyone have any experience of this?

They will inspect the car when they collect and take it away. They will note any marks on the collection document. You should not be charged for fair wear and tear items. When I VTd a car it had some minor scratches and a couple of small dents. I wasn't charged. If they don't spot it and record it at the collection they can't subsequently charge you. I have to admit I didn't clean my car for a week or two before collection. Make sure your tyres are legal or they will charge you for new ones.

The guy who collected mine spent no more than 5 minutes looking at it
