I originally posted this in the Arms, but thought I might have better luck here. Does anyone remember a dessert, in a can (I think), called Sweet Heart, that was like some sort of strawberry sludge (pink with red bits in it)? I remember having this when I was about 6, so 27 years ago!!!!

Don't remember this, but do remember one called Sweet Magic (I think!) that was canned. It came in different flavours and I loved the choccie one ... a bit like a sludgy blancmange.Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -
I remember it now you have mentioned it so you have not been imagining it - or else I am getting confused as well.

I've just spoken to my mum and she said that it was made by Nestle, and you used to mix it with milk, and it had big pieces of strawberry in it. Ooo I wish they still did it.Only 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!

As we have an influx of new members, frizz, I wondered if I bumped this thread up, if anyone else might remember it or even (you never know your luck!?) a recipe of a version of it

yes I remember it very well we had strawberry sweetherat and an orange one as well I loved it. Started eating it when I had mumps and during bouts of tonsilitis can still remember the taste yummy yummy.0

Yes, I remember it too ... it came in cans, with a texture like gloopy blancmange and lumps of fruit in it, to which you added milk, whisked in, and let it set. Strawberry and orange flavours I remember. Did they do a raspberry flavour as well?
What on earth was in it??? :eek:0 -
Yes I remember it well - it came in a can which was meant to serve 4 but there was never enough! It was my families special treat that we had when we were on holiday in our caravan (don't know why).0

Yes, I remember this and just recently have been racking my brains trying to remember what it was called.
It was a treat in our family too but like JC67 says, it was never enough as one can was too small for four people.0 -
This is spooky! :rotfl:
I was just reminiscing today about the puds my mum used to make; Instant whip, Angel Delight and Sweetheart Dessert
She didn't like to bake much
We only ever had the strawberry, just a teeny portion each for the four of us. It was one of my favourites back then but not sure that I would even like it now.0
