car ins quote refs - please help

Someone please help me!!!!! I have spent all night comparing the market blah blah blah.. I have found my best quote on compare the market with Hastings Direct, I have a reference number, but now I have tried to go back via my top cashback account direct to the hastings direct site to put the reference number in it to get the £55,55 cashback, but it wont recognise my ref number. I have gone back and done the quote again via the hastings direct site and its loads more expensive then going through the compare the market site.

Im at my wits end with it and am ready to through the laptop through the window, please help quick as the deal for the £55 cashback ends at midnight tonight.

You only get cashback for new quotes, not saved ones, and they tend to work out about the price of the cashback dearer than the usual quote from them.

thank you, I have wasted so much time trying to beat the system for nothing - I will know for next time, thanks for clarifying that at least im not doing anything wrong!
