need information about savings accounts on a low income.

I'm after some advice about open a savings account, im the mother of 2 young children, on a low income, and would like to start saving, basically put in what i can, when i can and i want to save for about a year.

    If you can manage a minimum amount each month (normally around £25) then look at a regular saving account. Otherwise, if you intend to keep the money long-term try to get a cash ISA as this will save you money on tax. If it is just for an occasion next year, get an instant access savings account, if you are in a town look at the banks on your high street and get one with them or get an online banking one. Money Supermarket does a comparison based on your circumstances.
