Can someone do the calculation for me...tax credits?!

Hiya,

I was wondering if anyone could do my tax credit calculation for April based on the new rates.

My taxable income was £19,180 and my partners was £5,200.

We will be paying £230 per week childcare for two children...one who is 3yrs old and the other is currently 3 months old.

Thank you xxx

£230 per WEEK does sound extremely excessive to me - maybe I am in the wrong line of work ?

2 children, 40 hours each a week, so £230 works out to be £2.88 per child per hour, not that much really.

OP, I'm sorry I tried to do the sums, but I've no experience of claiming the childcare bit and I got a bit confused!

I worked it out at around £11320 for the year using £24,380 as your 2010-2011 income. Obviously the amount may be different depending on your actual 2011-2012 income.

Also presumed no disability elements, no disabled children etc....
