Rating for double glazing since Jan.

Can anyone settle an argument, is it now a legal requirement, to have energy efficiency grading for newly installed double glazing? Thanks.

    since last oct 2010. all DG glass units must meet window energy rating of band C or above.
    Get some gorm.
  • If its in a new window frame then yes, if your replacing units in an existing window then No......

    Anything sold after the 1st of october should have an energy rating of c or above .If the job was sold before october then fensa to allowed the installers to fit unrated windows until 1st of jan 2011
