Tesco and ASDA Pay at the Pump. I've never had a problem ordering Tesco groceries online with it.0

Yes, me too.
Makes no odds though with the companies I named earlier in the thread.
If your card starts with 4508, then it's treated as an Electron still with some companies.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
M&S and Debenhams online, I noticed the other day in M&S when I bought some bits that it came up as Electron on the till so that will e why.
Train station, still despite the MD writing to tell me they would change it a year ago, Morrisons pay at pump despite it saying they take all cards including electron, that's all so far.
My local council took payment from ours no bother at all.0 -
Some train stations do accept Electron cards as well as the Co-op Visa Debit. Mine didn't used to, but changed about 3 years ago to accept it. Though when I couldn't get a ticket at the station and had to get on on board, the machine wouldn't take it.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

The problem is or was...... You can hold an electron card under the age of 18 so this is why a lot of places do not accept it like online M&S ordering because it would mean someone underage could order wine etc. I guess same goes at the petrol pumps.
Makes sense i guess.. My co-op card is a visa, never had any probs using it.Never Give Up hope!0 -

My co-op card is a Visa too.
Have you tried buying anything from M&S or Debenhams online with it?
If your first 4 digits aren't 4508 then maybe that's why you have never had a problem.
The companies that still have problems with Electron cards, which are now Visa cards, haven't updated their systems ~ that's what I was told by both the companies and the Co-op.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

Ye mine is 4508 but is not an electron, however i understand what your saying about companies not updating.. I just wanted to say why Electron is a problem.
I worked at a call center for M&S for 3 weeks and the reason i gave earlier is why Electrons were/are not accepted.Never Give Up hope!0
