Who doesn't accept Co-Op Cashminder Cards ('Electron' )

I have been reading a few threads here and there and there's a few place don't accept them, Asda Pay at the pump and Debenhams are two I've come across.

Any More?
If it wasn't for the mistakes I made in the past (and learned from), I wouldn't be who and where I am today. It doesn't matter if you've cocked up, what matters is that you put it right and apologise. x

The last time i couldnt use this card was at a local pizza shop and was so long ago they accept it now. I use it all the time with no problems.
  • The only place i have come across so far is my local council. I tried to pay my council tax by card over the phone and they would not accept co op card.

I found some train stations are a bit funny with the card. It is hit and miss though as in the station in my town it accepts it no problems, however when I was in Manchester a few weeks ago the machine wouldn't accept the Electron card.
  • I've had one for 2.5 years and only Tesco online grocery shopping wouldnt accept but I believe that is being changed - never come across any other problems.

Not sure if it's of any significance but it's no longer an "Electron" card. Certainly mine isn't, nothing in it's appearance suggests that it's anything other than an ordinary Visa....account was opened last July and it's not been turned down anywhere yet (though I've not tried the petrol pump thing).
Procrastination is my middle name....well it would be if I could be ar**d to contact Deed Poll."
  • I used mine for Tesco Online shopping no problem, I have not tried Asda petrol, but it is classified as a visa debit now, so shouldnt be a big problem, should it?

Like Hardup, the only refusal I've had was from my local council when trying to pay a parking fine. By the way when you go to court for your BR, park where you like. Any fine or ticket timed up to the point the judge stamps your petition is included in your BR. Civil penalty see!
Clamping fees might be a good one for the lawyers if the car is clamped overlapping the hearing! Who pays? You or the OR!
