non dependant deductions

Hi, I wonder if anyone could clear something up for me. I am on DLA high mobility, low rate care and my son works eighteen hours per week. Is it right that if you are getting the care component of disability living allowance you are exempt from any non dependant reductions in council tax or housing benefit. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you for your very quick answer Pandaspot. I wasn't sure whether it just applied to the high rate of care or both levels. Thank you.0
