Finding A Tenant

Anyone know of a way to find a lodger ?

Must be quiet

Comments

  • Personal recommendation might be the best way to find a lodger. Ask colleagues, friends, relatives and neighbours if they know anyone who is looking for a room.

Yeah, but having someone to live in your home is a bit different to selling off your old CD's or buying an MP3 player or sat nav. You want someone you can trust not a stranger from cyberspace.

Alternatively, try asking at local colleges. In my area the local college pay families to take in overseas students and part of the deal is that you provide meals for them. It's reasonably well paid and the college take all responsibility for the students who are usually over to learn english and stay for about 6 months each.

go to your local hospital , they have an accomodation section for the nurses etc but only have "home" staff for the first year so are usually looking for more accomodation
  • Eng - Thanks for the repsonse - Just wondering if you had a few names of colleges that do this - I live in London so would expect most English students to be living here at the moment..

PM or post here - Thanks
