Beware Of Hpi Checks On Used Cars

People buying second hand cars should be aware when purchasing HPI checks. Having done one myself, which came back stolen recovered on one site, did not appear on a HPI done by the trader with a differenct company . Why....apparently, because it was returned to the owner and had no insurance claim on it. It was therefore removed. What is the point of having a HPI check done if you are not given the full details of it. Surely people have the right to know that a vehicle has been stolen recovered whether or not it was damaged? At £34 with the AA you would think so. So please beware if you have a HPI done do not accept what is written, ask them if the vehicle has ever been a Category car and if it was ever stolen recoved. If you do not ask they will not tell you!
