But you assured us that you have no debt.
So why would you want to pay an extra £17 for debt repayment?
There is no purpose in staying on standard tariff, as it's costing you an extra £10pm or so.
Even if you have no debt, you should still switch to Sign Online 21 to save that £10.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

yes, i said excluding debt, i use £35 per month. Thats what ive used on standard tariff.
But why have npower made me pay £35 per month now?
Like you said, it should be £25 per month.
Uswitch also says £25 per month on sign onlilne based on 3000kwh.
I have switched to sign on line.
I have a current bill of £200 (debt build up included + normal usage).
I cant pay this, so they said just pay £17 on top of DD per month for 12 months. So its £52 DD for me now, on sign online.
Im just confused, am i using £25 per month electic or £35?
(so ive been paying £35 on standard tariff for 9 months, and NOW, im still on a £35 DD on sign online. Have they made a mistake? )0 -
have called them again, asking why am i being set up on £35 DD when online deals it should be £25, based on my usage.
She said she is confused too, she did her calculations and said based on my usage it should be £29.
So they have changed my DD to £46 per month.
£29 for usage, and £17 for debt payments.
this sounds more correct.
based on last weeks reading on thu morning and todays reading in morning ive used 64kWh, so thats 64 for 6 days.
thats not even a full week.
64 x 52 weeks = 3328kWh !
£25 DD was based on 3000kWh, so £29 sounds about right: should ensure no debt build up, or very little.
Sorted?
i used 64kWh in 6 days.
64 / 6 = 10.6 per day
10.6 x 365 days = 3869kWh per year.
uswitch with this figure says sign on line still cheapest at £379 = £31.60 per month.
so £35 DD was too much, £29 is closer to real amount.
Plus it will be cheaper in warmer seasons.
anyway, so i guess im using around £32 of electricity for budgeting purposes per month + £17 debt.
£50 DD sounds more simple to manage, £33 for usage, £17 for debt.

So still on the most expensive npower tariff? I give up.
You won't get offered online tariffs by ringing them up (the clue is in the name). No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

lol sorry, i overcomplicate perhaps.
yes im on the sign online 21 deal, did it over the phone, i believe there is no extra saving by doing it online on npower site. Could have saved £20 on quidco though, but wanted it done and dusted asap with minimal fuss, as i was with them already.0
