Hi, I'm not sure if anyine can help but my eletric cooker has stopped working.
I thought maybe the wire had come loose in the back of the cooker so checked it. When I checked the wire the case that holds the wire has melted!
Dose anyone know why this has happend and if it is fixable (without too much cost!).
Any help & advice appreciated!
Thanks, Dawn

I'm not sure, maybe a element has gone, maybe something else is broken on the cooker.
Please please be very careful with it.
Did you install the cooker yourself?
edit, hang on, do you mean the case that you screw the wire into, on the cooker has melted? If so, it could have been a loose wire in there maybe?“Pleasure of love lasts but a moment, pain of love lasts a lifetime.”0 -
Yes, it is the case itself that has melted.
I did install it myself, but that was ages ago and it has been fine, so I have no idea what else could be wrong. I really want to avoid buying a new one as this one is only a couple of years old.0 -
Its possible that you had a loose connection and that has caused the overheating of the terminals.
You could try remaking off the cables, but I would suggest you get an electrician in to check it out. The electrician can check out the cooker to ensure its safe to reconnect. The last thing you want is a fire caused by a faulty appliance.0
