Hi
Wehave a 1600mm bath and are looking to fit a shower screen. I have found 2 main sizes, 1000mm or 800mm.
I was wondering which one would be most appropriate. What is the norm for this size bath?
Thanks in advance

Is it fixed or will you swing it out when you have a bath? If there's room, you'll be better off with the wider for the splash factor.0

We were concerned about having a big sheet of glass potentially swinging into the bathroom door, as they MIGHT open onto each other, by mistake.
So we chose the 2 panel slider, from B&Q. £129 ish. It's not shown on their www, but is in most stores, I'd guess. Homebase have it too. Available silver or white (white was less £$£)
It is full height, but in 2 x 42cm sections, which slide behind one another. You can still swing it out of the bath, or over the bath, for cleaning.
You do need to be farly acurate when getting the fixings to the wall - we rang the makers, 'cos their weren't holes pre-drilled. Seems you need to do this yourself!! So ensure the wall isn't too out of 'true' before drilling.
Once it's up, everyone coments at how neat it looks!! Far better than one of those 4section, concertina folding things - hate to try & clean those!!

Most quality single panel bath screens tend to be approx 800, look for 5/6mm glass. be carefull there are no clashing issues doors banging into glass. Sliders, I am a bathroom professional tend to malfunction over time and there are cleaning issues. Multipanel folding screens are ok but inherantly more problematic, more joints etc. As a default I would always suggest the simpler the mechanism the better, ie single panel screen. make sure of british standard saftey glass, there is increasig amount of product coming esp from china that is not, if it breaks no guarantee of saftey.0

1000mm will provide more splash coverage but might be too much in relation to the size of the bath. I think 800mm will be more proportional to the bath and room size. Thanks0

We got a 4 fold screen from B&Q. (about £90) I cant remember its size and the bathroom feels a long way away from a tape mesure at the moment.
It's really good as you can fold it flat against the wall when its not in use which "creates space" if you need to.
Another good tip is you can slightly curve the last panel in over the bath so that there is fewer stray water splashes on the floor.
I always found with the single straight panels odd trays of water would find its way out of the bath.0
