when to change

Hi all,

I was just wondering, I have had my notice through from EDF to say my online saver v5 is due to finish next month and I will be moved on to the standard tariff, I want to move to a British Gas product that will be cheaper, when do i do it?, can I start the change now or do i have to wait until my contract has completely finished. I know it take 5-6 weeks to move over so I am anxious to do this asap but I don't know if EDf will class it as leaving the product early.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Start a month before, it normally takes min 4 weeks and max 6.
The date you switch is the date your contract ends, not the date you apply to switch.
