halifax reward account- how does it display on internet

Options
Hi
I have had some old current accounts with Halifax for years, yesterday afternoon I phone up and changed them to reward accounts. Have funded them today to try and get the £5 per acct but cant see a difference on the internet banking site, they are listed as current accounts...is this how reward accounts display or do they usually show as reward accounts, my version of internet banking is the new one (if that makes a difference)

thanks, was worried that may be the case, hopefully will change soon and that I still get my £10 (2xaccounts)
  • You are now only allowed 1 sole Reward a/c and 1 joint Reward a/c, is that what you have now?

If you wanted to change 2 sole ones, they might not allow that, unless one is an Ultimate Reward, which you have to pay for.

Also, you are very close to the end of the month, were you told it would take effect immediately?

I was going to point out that it sounds like you changed it on a Sunday so any business processed on this day is not done until the Monday and would not show until the following day - i.e. Tuesday.

It also depends on if the account was changed there and then or if the person you spoke to has then had to refer the request to the admin centre for processing. Either way it will be done and dated to the originating date of request.

Best advice is to keep checking online as it is does say "REWARD ACCOUNT" and if you've not noticed anything different after a week get in touch with them.
